We started LANSURG because we kept seeing the same problem up close: good tutors, invisible progress, and no one held to any standard.
Every student can improve — but only when someone is actually watching whether it's working. Most tutoring in Accra runs on trust alone: a tutor shows up, teaches, and everyone hopes for the best at the next exam.
We believe parents deserve to see progress along the way, not just find out at the end of term. That's the whole idea behind LANSURG — qualified tutors, and a simple system that shows you what's actually happening.
LANSURG was founded in 2026 in Accra by a small group of Chemistry graduates and university teaching assistants who were already tutoring privately — and saw how much of the industry runs on informal referrals, inconsistent quality, and no real accountability to parents.
We're early. We're not the biggest name in tutoring in Ghana, and we won't pretend otherwise — but everything we build is aimed at fixing the specific things that make tutoring frustrating for families, starting with visibility into whether it's actually working.
We start from our own network of qualified educators — university teaching assistants and subject specialists — and vet every tutor who joins beyond that network the same way.
Degree and subject background checked before anyone teaches a session.
Every tutor teaches a sample lesson to our team first.
Tutors stay on based on results and parent feedback, not a one-time interview.
Home tutoring means being in your family's space, and we take that seriously. Tutor conduct, scheduling, and communication all go through us directly — never shared or sold on.
We understand many of the families we work with value discretion. Session details, progress reports, and any information about your child stay strictly between you, your tutor, and LANSURG.
